Biography
Shri. Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao was born on 29th March 1962. His father’s name is Shri D. Srimannarayana, wife Shri D. Anupama, son Nihar and daughter Gnathavya . He has an elder brother Shri D. Venkata Ramana who died in a train accident.
Education
Graduate Professional B.Sc (Bachelor of Science), B.Tech (Bachelor Of Technology) Nagarjuna University, Guntur District Completed in the year 1986.
Political Career
He was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for four terms (20 years), in 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014. Elected first in 1999 from the Nandigama Constituency, and then in 2009 and 2014 he was elected from the Mylavaram Constituency.
Roles Performed
Former member of legislative assembly, minister of Irrigation, Command Area Development, and Water Resources Management, president of Telugu Desam Party.
